You’re a leader in product development or solution delivery. You’re invested in your team’s success, and you’ve implemented modern practices and tools.
You have the vision — and the need — to take performance to the next level.
However…
- Are you dissatisfied with the pace and impact of improvement initiatives?
- Are you constantly firefighting and solving problems, and the system is not getting any healthier?
- Have you found it hard to influence necessary change beyond your own team?
Join this workshop with Gil Broza to produce a viable, actionable, and efficient roadmap to your vision. The author of Deliver Better Results, Gil has been a trusted value delivery and Agile leadership expert for 20 years.
Workshop, not a course
- You’ll be immersed in what it takes to level up human systems that develop technological products.
- You’ll examine every concept and strategy in the context of your own system.
- What you’ll learn is applicable whether your work is product-oriented or project-oriented, traditional or agile or hybrid, single-team or scaled.
- You’ll develop a list of concrete changes and actions to pursue at work.
Do you already have a specific strategy and plans for improvement? This workshop will reveal risks, problems, and blind spots, and you’ll learn what to do about them.
What we’ll cover
The backbone of the workshop is SQUARE — Gil’s pragmatic, gradual, and process-agnostic model for transforming value delivery. We’ll examine the critical and finer points, study what they all mean in your context, and discover the changes and actions that will optimize your change efforts.
At a high level, the topics include:
- Seeing your value delivery system and collaborating with others on systemic improvement
- Preparing to level up
- Leading effective and sustainable improvements
- Strategies for leveling up: managing the project portfolio; designing the way of working; sorting out decision-making; stabilizing the system; amplifying safety, teamwork, and collaboration; deferring commitments; engaging teams in planning
- Getting buy-in for change
For each of these big topics, we’ll focus on what matters most for overcoming resistance, getting traction, and making improvements real and sustainable.
Each module involves a mix of interactive teaching, group discussions, exercises, and reflection. We go light on theory and heavy on pragmatism.
Structure
To make it easier for you to attend, this workshop is structured as five two-hour sessions (including a break) spread out over two weeks. We’ll meet on Zoom and use Mural a lot.
Sessions will not be recorded. Even though there will be group discussions, you will not need to share anything confidential.
